News > Jets activate Breece Hall on .

The New York Jets have activated running back Breece Hall from the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list. In December 2022, Hall suffered an ACL tear and meniscus damage, which required surgery. As he continues to recover, the Jets are expected to limit Hall's participation in practice.

As an undrafted free agent in 2022, Hall was signed by the Jets as a second-year running back. During last season, he played in 14 games, rushing for 523 yards and 3 touchdowns. The Jets hope he will continue to develop and contribute to the team's offense this season.

Head coach Robert Saleh expressed confidence in Hall's readiness for Week 1 when he said, "We're very confident about where he is at." Hall has worked hard to get to this point. We are excited to see him return to the field."

Hall was activated one day after the Jets agreed to sign fellow running back Dalvin Cook, who is expected to compete for playing time with Hall and other members of the Jets' backfield.
