LSU's quarterback, Jayden Daniels, delivered a spectacular performance in the Tigers' 42-30 victory over Texas A&M on Saturday, completing four touchdown passes and rushing for 120 yards on 11 carries. Daniels' fourth-quarter display was particularly impressive, as he threw three touchdowns to lead LSU to a decisive win. With this victory, the Tigers end their regular season with a 9-3 record and avenge their defeat against the Aggies from last year.

Daniels' latest performance solidifies his position as one of the top Heisman Trophy contenders this year. He completed 16 out of 24 passes for 234 yards and had three touchdowns. Additionally, he ran for 120 yards on 11 carries, marking his fourth game of the season with at least 200 yards passing and 100 yards rushing.

As LSU will not participate in the SEC championship in Atlanta next weekend, this was Daniels' final opportunity to impress the award's voters. He undeniably succeeded and his remarkable stat line, comprising of 3,812 yards passing, 40 passing touchdowns, 4 interceptions, 1,134 yards rushing, and 10 rushing touchdowns, will certainly capture the attention of the Heisman voters.

Daniels' performance against Texas A&M might be interpreted as his "Heisman Moment," as he guided the Tigers to triumph with a few crucial plays in the final quarter. When the Tigers were down 24-21 early in the fourth quarter, Daniels made a remarkable throw to wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr., who executed an impressive jump at the end zone and scored, providing the Tigers with their first lead since the middle of the first quarter. Daniels completed a 45-yard pass to Malik Nabers and rushed for 10 yards to set up another touchdown. He ultimately secured the win with a 15-yard strike to Kyren Lacy, with only 4:19 left to play.

LSU's quarterback, Jayden Daniels, has had an exceptional season and is now considered a top contender for the Heisman Trophy. His impressive performance against Texas A&M on Saturday may have further solidified his chances for the award. As the regular season comes to a close, it is uncertain whether Daniels will be invited to play in a bowl game and continue to impress voters in the race for the Heisman Trophy.
