Information about the movie "Oppenheimer": Directed, written, and co-produced by Christopher Nolan, "Oppenheimer" is a biographical thriller movie yet to be released. The movie focuses on J. Robert Oppenheimer, the theoretical physicist who contributed to the development of the first nuclear weapons. It's based on the 2005 biography "American Prometheus" by Kai Bird and Martin J. Sherwin.

The film was shot using both IMAX 65mm and 65mm large-format film. Furthermore, it includes sections of IMAX black-and-white analog photography, for the first time.

Universal Pictures plans to release "Oppenheimer" in the United Kingdom and the United States on July 21, 2023.

Accuracy Information:

A nuclear historian asserts that the movie assumes some liberties with the facts; however, overall, it presents an accurate depiction of the events. Nevertheless, some scenes in the movie are inaccurate, whereby Oppenheimer is portrayed as the lone voice reassuring everyone that the storm will pass during a weather event.
